We have compiled data on environmental activities conducted by office buildings, retail properties and hotels that Mitsui Fudosan directly administers and operates.
Facilities Targeted for Study

The total amount of energy consumed (electricity, gas, etc.) and CO2 emissions in fiscal 2007 increased in all facility types (offices, retail properties and hotels) in tandem with the increase in the number of target facilities.
As for consumption by floor area, consumption of electricity and CO2 emissions decreased, while consumption of gas and other energy increased in office buildings and retail properties.

The total amount of clean water consumed in fiscal 2007 increased in all facility types (offices, retail properties and hotels) in tandem with the increase in target facilities, while consumption by floor area decreased.

The total amount of disposed general waste and disposed industrial waste increased in all facility types (offices, retail properties and hotels) in tandem with the increase in the number of target facilities.
As for consumption by floor area, the amount of disposed general waste decreased in all facility types (offices, retail properties and hotels) and that of disposed industrial waste decreased in office buildings and retail properties. Consumption by floor area decreased to a large degree at retail properties due to the increase in large-sized facilities with large floor areas and little consumption by floor area.
Note 1) Incorrect numerical values for fiscal 2006 were used for general/industrial waste disposed of by retail properties and energy consumption, CO2 emissions and clear water consumption amounts in hotels, which were recorded in the previous report. Therefore, the numerical values were modified to the correct ones in these calculations.
Note 2) Consumption at tenants' locations is also included in the data concerning office buildings and retail properties. In addition, data on office buildings include consumption associated with clerical work conducted by Mitsui Fudosan, which is one of the tenants.
Note 3) In the calculation of CO2 emissions, the emission factor stipulated in Article 3-1 of the Enforcement Ordinance of the Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures (revised in March 2006) is used.
