Mitsui Fudosan has established the Environmental Management Committee in the Environmental Special Committee and is working together with its 14 Group companies to develop and implement environmental initiatives under the Group Environmental Policy.
Each division and department at Mitsui Fudosan and Mitsui Fudosan Residential Co., Ltd. builds on the Group Environmental Policy to individually establish environmental targets and plans for each fiscal year. The results of efforts are examined and evaluated to be reflected in the activities for the following fiscal year.
Main Agenda of Environmental Management Committee (Fiscal 2007)
- Establishment and management of progress of environmental targets for each division and department
- Trends in relation to countermeasures against global warming (industry/government)
- Analysis of environmental management rankings
- Editorial policy for Mitsui Fudosan's social/environmental report
- Positioning of environmental efforts in terms of the direction of our CSR
- Reinforcement of environmental efforts in the office
Organization of the Environmental Management System (as of April 1, 2008)
Under the environmental management system of the entire Group, some divisions and facilities at Mitsui Fudosan have established environmental management systems at their respective operational sites and acquired the ISO 14001 certification.
In fiscal 2007, said certification was newly acquired at First Facilities Gunma Co., Ltd. Further, First Facilities Co., Ltd. acquired the extended certification for four office management divisions in addition to its head office.
