Mitsui Fudosan Group is promoting green procurement for office supplies, employee uniforms, and eco-vehicles at each Group company.

The headquarters, branches and sales offices of Mitsui Fudosan are promoting green procurement for clerical work (stationery, OA paper, etc.) based on the Company's Criteria for Green Office Supplies.
The green procurement ratio (*1) in fiscal 2008 was approximately 52.8% while the ratio of recycled paper used for OA paper (*2) was approximately 94.9%. The reason why the green procurement ratio decreased greatly compared to previous times was because the number of products that meet provisions of the Law on Promoting Green Purchasing decreased. This decrease was the result of reviews conducted on products that meet provisions of the Law stemming from the problem of falsification of the content ratio of used paper. In the future, we would like to pour efforts into purchasing new green products and strive to increase the green procurement ratio.
(*1) Green procurement ratio: Of office supplies (files, notebooks, paper products, stationary, office supplies, writing materials, erasers, white-out, etc.), the ratio of products that meet Mitsui Fudosan's Criteria for Green Office Supplies (products that fall under the environmental mark requirements of public institutions or third party certification organizations, and original green products produced by manufacturers) (based on purchased amount).
(*2) The ratio of recycled paper used for OA paper: Of OA paper, the ratio of recycled paper (based on weight).

Hybrid shuttle bus
At the retail property LaLaport TOKYO-BAY (Funabashi-shi, Chiba Prefecture), we have introduced two hybrid buses out of the three shuttle buses used there. We also introduced a shuttle bus that ran on vegetable diesel fuel made from recycled waste vegetable oil at Tokyo Midtown (Minato-ku, Tokyo) that ran to and from akasaka Sacas (Minato-ku, Tokyo) during a summer event in 2008 for a limited period of time.
