This experimental initiative of a grand-scale development of an urban area is progressing in the area surrounding Kashiwanoha Campus Station on the Tsukuba Express. The Kashiwanoha International Campus Town Initiative aims to realize an international academic city and bring about a next-generation environmental city through partnerships among the government, private industry and academia.

The Urban Design Center Kashiwa-no-ha (UDCK), a base for the transmission of future urban development

The Mitsui Fudosan Group is executing its own original role in the Kashiwanoha Campus City Project as a company participating from the private sector. Together with local governments including Chiba Prefecture and Kashiwa-shi, as well as The University of Tokyo and Chiba University, the Mitsui Fudosan Group is taking part in the creation of new value by building a sustainable town based on the concept of “the environment, healthy living, creativity and communication.”

Kashiwanoha Future Village, a place of exchange based on the themes of environment and health.

Our hope is that this town will serve and shine as a futuristic model for addressing various issues that modern society faces 50 years or even 100 years from now — it is a challenge to realize our aim of leaving something that “improves with age” to the future generations to come.
