Lunch being served at Izumien
In September 2009, many elderly enjoyed the Japanese confectionery that Mitsui Garden Hotel Kashiwa (Kashiwa-shi, Chiba Prefecture) served free of charge at a respect-for-the-aged event held at the city's Hojyukai Day Service Center. In October 2009, following on from the previous year, lunch was also served at Izumien, an assisted-living facility in the city. The lunch was enjoyed by people with physical/mental challenges, who have little opportunity to dine out in their daily living, along with their families, staff, etc. totaling 160 people.

In the office buildings business, food, drinking water, materials, equipment and other supplies that become necessary in the event of a disaster are stored at each office building. Of these, food and drinking water supplies are donated to the Nihonbashi Fire Station before the expiry date every year. In June 2009, 3,500 servings of food supplies, centering on instant rice, and 4,700 two-liter plastic bottles of emergency drinking water were donated. The donated food and drinking water supplies are used in various drills and other occasions.

Donation of Seedlings to Workplace for Independence of the Physically Challenged
Daiichi Engei Co., Ltd. donates seedlings of its original petunia “Bluette” every year to a workplace in Chiba City that helps the physically challenged become independent.
