The “Mitsui'sRepark” Nihonbashi Honcho Nicho-me Parking Lot (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) managed by Mitsui Fudosan Realty Co., Ltd. (formerly named Mitsui Fudosan Sales Co., Ltd.) received the gold award of the “JPB Parking Grand Prize 2011” managed by the Japan Parking Business (JPB) Association. The award is a system that recognizes and honors parking lots that satisfy a certain level of standards set by the JPB Association.
“Mitsui'sRepark” Nihonbashi Honcho Nicho-me Parking Lot incorporates a hybrid solar system that illuminates signs and illumination machines after sundown with power stored (storage capacity of 6.72kW) by solar power generation (generation ability of 1.48kWh). It was highly valuated for reducing power usage by a maximum compared to the past of 88.2% by the mutual effects of using LED lighting in the whole parking lot. In addition, LED blocks and gas exhaust panels have also been installed.
Mitsui Home Component Co., Ltd. installed a Biotope “Hometown of Happiness” (Area of 1,154m2) in the Saitama factory (Kazo-shi, Saitama) and opened it in October 2011.
Understanding the environment surrounding the factory, planning with consideration for the region's types of animals and ecosystem, along with increasing greenery through preservation of existing trees such as Shirakashi and native species such as Yoshi and Suge, changes of water levels were recorded at ponds with purposes such as multi-layer ecosystem. Additionally, as a habitat of reptiles, an eco-stack that piled up rocks and logs was installed. Lumber remnants that appear in factories were made into chips and used for pavement material of walkways. Nearby there is a Watarase flood control basin rich in nature, and a variety of creatures from the surrounding regions are expected to come; dragonflies and ducks have already been spotted.
In the future, it is planned to continually manage it as a place for environmental education of children.
From October 2011, Mitsui Fudosan Housing Service Co., Ltd. began offering the “used item home delivery buying service” in cooperation with NETOFF inc. for residents of condominiums that it manages.
This is a service that can easily reuse and recycle because it enables application for selling unneeded items by phone and the internet and the items can be received by home delivery. Additionally, the “smile eco program” in which NETOFF inc. bears part of the cost and donates to NPO for each purchase is supplemented, and donations can be made from within the purchasing fee, making it something that enables easy participation in societal contribution support.
In addition, Mitsui Fudosan Housing Service Co., Ltd. is holding the Great East Japan Earthquake Disaster Relief Plan “collect books donations” event in cooperation with BOOKOFF Online CORPORATION.
