Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. today announced the opening of the Hong Kong Branch in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.
The Mitsui Fudosan Group has positioned overseas business as a growth field in its long-term business strategy. In this context, it has strengthened its organization in fast-growing East Asia as a strategic area in a bid to capture business opportunities.
- Dec. 2005 Established the Shanghai Representative Office under the International Department of Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.
- Aug. 2009 Established Mitsui Fudosan (Shanghai) Consulting Co., Ltd.
- Aug. 2010 Established Mitsui Fudosan Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
- Apr. 2011 Established Mitsui Fudosan Consulting (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd.
The Company established joint venture TID Pte. Ltd. in 1972 in Singapore with the Hong Leong Group as its first overseas move. Over the ensuing 30 years, the Company has conducted its development business centered on condominiums.
With Hong Kong being located between Singapore and Japan, the establishment of the Hong Kong Branch has a number of aims. The first is to strengthen business and information gathering activities to expand business in China and East Asia. The branch is also intended to support in-bound business being promoted by the Mitsui Fudosan Group.
Looking ahead, the Mitsui Fudosan Group will aggressively develop its retail property and residential property business, as well as multi-purpose projects and other projects where it boasts a competitive edge, in major cities in China and East Asia, leveraging its three local companies in China, the Hong Kong Branch and its Singapore subsidiary.
