Mitsui Fudosan Decides to Take Part in Ichikawa Shiohama Logistics Facility Development Project (Tentative Name)
33 development and operation facilities, total floor space of about 31 million ft2 (approx. 2.9 million m2)

Tokyo, Japan, August 6, 2018 - Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., a leading global real estate company headquartered in Tokyo, announced today that it has decided to develop a new logistics facility in Shiohama, Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture. Mitsui Fudosan has been developing more highly advanced logistics facilities to meet logistics-related needs that continue to diversify against the backdrop of growth in third-party logistics and online commerce.

With this new project, there are 18 properties in operation, and 15 under development, including the Ichikawa Shiohama Logistics Facility Development Project (tentative name) announced in this release, resulting in 33 buildings occupying approximately 2.9 million m2 of floor space in the Mitsui Fudosan logistics business.

In this development project, Mitsui Fudosan signed a joint business agreement regarding the project promotion for actualizing the logistics facilities, with the aim of effectively utilizing the land after the relocation of Tsukishima Kikai Co., Ltd.’s Ichikawa plant, and of maximizing its value.

Guided by its business statement of “Connecting Values Together with Customers and Creating New Values Together with Customers,” Mitsui Fudosan is conducting new initiatives as a solutions partner and is developing the Ichikawa Shiohama Logistics Facility Development Project (tentative name).

Project Overview of the Ichikawa Shiohama Logistics Facility Development Project (tentative name)

The planned development site is located near the Chidoricho Interchange of the Metropolitan Expressway Bay Shore Route. Since the location also offers highly convenient access from Tokyo’s city center, there is a large concentration of logistics facilities in the site’s surrounding areas.
