Temporary enclosure decorated with schoolchildren art

To commemorate the extension of the Tsukuba Express to the area in August 2005, artwork from students at five local elementary schools was displayed on the temporary enclosure around the "Kashiwanoha Project." Company staff, in connection with the Kashiwa Municipal Board of Education, visited the principals of each school to seek out submissions for the event. Students were asked to draw smiling faces and their hopes and dreams for the new town. The children's' pictures were full of expectations and excitement regarding the new area.
