Replete with rooftop vegetable and floral gardens, solar panels and wind turbines, as well as a climbing wall and other features, Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport KASHIWANOHA incorporates a combination of elements rarely found at retail properties in Japan.
Taken together, these elements are a physical expression of the “Environment, Health and Sustainability” design concept behind Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport KASHIWANOHA. Furthermore, the “Crystal Court” glass atrium and “Central Plaza” courtyard provide sunlight for the entire facility, creating a space filled with natural light while reducing energy costs. This next-generation shopping park emphatically proves that two themes critical to the entire world - the environment and sustainability - are fully compatible with comfort and abundance.

Proposals Based on University Partnerships
The climbing wall and rooftop vegetable garden are initiatives made possible through alliances with local universities, our partners in urban development. Tenants like “Puchi Nursery LaLaport Kashiwanoha,” a nursery school that minimizes the use of chemicals on the school interior wherever possible, represent other university alliances that operate along the same lines.
