On September 28, 2006, the commercial facility LAZONA Kawasaki Plaza opened on an approximately 110,000-square meter plot adjacent to JR Kawasaki Station. This facility was based on the concept of "an entire town under a single large roof." Urban residences were built after the plaza's opening, producing a new town called LAZONA Kawasaki.

The theme of this project is "ties." LAZONA Kawasaki Plaza, a commercial facility directly connected to JR Kawasaki Station via a second-floor open-air deck, is convenient for people on the way home from work or an outing. The north part of the facility includes the "Four Seasons Paths" and a kid's park, making it both a retail property and a kind of park where people can come and go as they please. This greenery mirrors the landscaping of another park at the rear of the LAZONA residences.
