Environmental Management System

Environmental Management System of the Mitsui Fudosan Group

Mitsui Fudosan established the “environmental promotion sub-committee” under the “environment committee,” set annual goals for each department *, and is promoting environmental efforts systematically with the group companies that are the targets of the environmental policy.
The “environmental group policy” and the environmental efforts by each department were renewed in April 2012.
Additionally, Mitsui Fudosan Reform Co., Ltd. was added from April 2012, expanding the number of target group companies to 16. Under the new “environmental group policy,” additional efforts will be furthered together with the 16 group companies.

Organization of the Environmental Management System (as of April 1, 2012)

1) Mitsui Home Co., Ltd., First Facilities Co., Ltd., LaLaport Management Co., Ltd., Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management Co., Ltd. and Tokyo Midtown Management Co., Ltd. promote environmental conservation activities by establishing their own environmental policies based on the Group Environmental Policy. These companies also conduct their own social and environmental reporting.
2) Mitsui Real Estate Sales Co., Ltd. changed its corporate name to Mitsui Fudosan Realty Co., Ltd.
3) LaLaport Management Co., Ltd. changed its corporate name to Mitsui Fudosan Retail Management Co.,Ltd.
4) First Facilities Co., Ltd. changed its corporate name to Mitsui Fudosan Facilities Co., Ltd.

Acquisition of ISO 14001 Certification at Division and Facilities

Based on the Group environmental management system, some of the Mitsui Fudosan Group's divisions and facilities have established environmental management systems at their respective operational sites and acquired ISO 14001 certification.
In addition, although certification had been acquired in the past for the planning department of Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. and Mitsui Fudosan Architectural Engineering Co., Ltd., the Nakanoshima Mitsui Building of First Facilities West Co., Ltd., and the renovation business department of Mitsui Real Estate Building Management Co., Ltd. and Shin-Kawasaki Mitsui Building, the certification update for fiscal 2011 was not performed. However, energy management will be maintained in the same way as in the past.
