Construction Starts on Kyobashi 1-Chome Hotel Plan (tentative name)
Opening planned for fall 2016

Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management Co., Ltd. and Kashiwabara Building Co., Ltd. are pleased to announce that construction has begun on the Kyobashi 1-Chome Hotel Plan (tentative name) located at 3,Kyobashi, 1-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

This project will involve the Kashiwabara Building Co., Ltd. building a hotel on the site formerly occupied by the Kashiwabara Building and owned by the Kashiwabara-kami Co., Ltd. Following completion of construction, the Mitsui Fudosan Group will lease the hotel and operate it as a Mitsui Garden Hotel. The opening of the hotel is scheduled for the fall of 2016.

This project site is located within walking distance of JR Tokyo Station, while from the Kyobashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line the site offers easy access to Ginza, which has attracted an increasing number of foreign tourists in recent years, and the Nihonbashi area, which is attracting attention for its progress with revitalization.

The Mitsui Garden Hotel chain currently operates 18 hotels across Japan with 4,809 rooms. This hotel will be the sixth Mitsui Garden Hotel in Tokyo, following on from the Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel (329 rooms), which opened in Tokyo in December 2014. The Mitsui Garden Hotel Nagoya (approx. 300 rooms) (tentative name) is also scheduled to open in 2016, bringing the total number of rooms the chain operates to more than 5,000.

Going forward, the Mitsui Fudosan Group will actively engage in new developments in major urban areas and regional cities designated by government ordinances. The Group will strive to provide services overflowing with hospitality while aiming to realize “hotels that satisfy the senses” and “hotels to remember” as an upper-grade accommodation-style hotel.
