Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. and Mitsui Fudosan Retail Management Co., Ltd. will hold the 13th &EARTH Clothing Support Project “Bring a Smile to the World with Your Clothes” on six days in May at 18 retail properties the Mitsui Fudosan Group operates in locations across Japan. The event will be held on the weekends of May 16 to 17, May 23 to 24, and May 30 to 31.

This project collects unwanted clothes to promote their reuse and donates them to refugees and victims of disasters worldwide through NPO Japan Relief Clothing Center, aiming to join customers in taking part in international social contribution activities. A collection is also held for overseas transportation cooperation funds.

Since December 2008, the project has been held twice yearly, in the spring and fall, for a cumulative total of 12 times. There have been 43,583 participants and approximately 233 tons of collected clothing.

Mitsui Fudosan Group employees working as volunteers manage the project. In addition, overseas transportation cooperation costs will be donated to the Japan Clothing Support Center Association.

In conjunction with holding this project, some retail properties are also planning to simultaneously hold a Guide Dog Interaction Campaign to raise awareness and deepen understanding of guide dogs and people with visual disabilities, and the JAPAN FOR UNHCR’s Project for supporting refugees. Looking ahead, the Mitsui Fudosan Group will continue to provide customers with an opportunity to learn about environmental and social contribution activities.
