In collaboration with Gamba Osaka Co., Ltd., the designated administrator of the adjacent Suita City Soccer Stadium, and the Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. will be involved in various energy-related activities for EXPOCITY. The area has been named the “Expo Smart Community” and EXPOCITY is a large-scale complex facility being developed at the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture. The Expo Smart Community is based on the themes of achieving reduced energy use and lower CO2 emissions by using renewable energy and efficient energy use, and of improving regional disaster readiness from the viewpoint of energy. The community aims to create a new neighborhood in harmony with the historical Expo 70’ Commemorative Park and the regional community, in Japan's first group of facilities that combines a large-scale complex facility and a soccer stadium.
