Sports for Life Japan (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Masao Tejima) and Mitsui Fudosan Residential Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and Chief Executive Officer: Kiyotaka Fujibayashi) announced that the large-scale corporate sports fair, the 3rd Asia Pacific Corporate Games in Tokyo 2016, will be held. Applications to take part will be accepted from today, May 18, 2016.

Sports for Life Japan and Mitsui Fudosan Residential formed The Corporate Games Tokyo Organizing Committee to host and operate the first event, and for the third time in three consecutive years, this organizing committee will be running the event.

The event revolves around people establishing relationships through sports. It aims to revitalize local communities via participants from within and outside of Japan and to cooperate with the demonstration testing of state-of-the-art technologies in the Tokyo Bay area. From this year’s event, the organizer will adopt a new initiative by collaborating in planning and operation with the AGESTOCK2016 Organizing Committee, Japan’s largest student event planning organization, to enliven the exchange between students and working members of society.

Features of the Asia Pacific Corporate Games in Tokyo 2016

The Asia Pacific Corporate Games in Tokyo was first held in 2014. With the help of 65 corporate co-sponsors, approximately 16,000 people from 468 companies have participated in the two events held so far, making them a highly regarded occasion. This year’s event, the Asia Pacific Corporate Games in Tokyo 2016 plans to hold competitions in 10 sports. Furthermore, participants will be able to take part in the Games Celebration reception party and the Closing Award Celebration presentation ceremony. These and other receptions, which were popular in the previous event, will be set up to provide opportunities for participants to befriend one another. This is a large-scale sports festival where participants compete in sports, respect their fellows in associated events and exchanges among those taking part are prioritized.
