Tokyo, Japan, May 16, 2017 - Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., a leading global real estate company headquartered in Tokyo, and Nagashima Resort Co., Ltd. announced today that the opening of the Fifth-Stage Expansion Plan for Mitsui Outlet Park Jazz Dream NAGASHIMA has been decided for Monday, September 25, 2017.
This facility has contributed to the neighborhood creation of the entire Nagashima Resort since it pioneered the concept of residential-style outlet shopping malls when it opened in 2002. Under the Fifth-Stage Expansion Plan and large-scale refurbishment, an existing strength of a wide-reaching brand lineup, particularly in fashion, will be further enhanced and the facility will evolve to have the most stores and largest floor space of any outlet mall in Japan. Furthermore, the facility’s comfort and residential capabilities will be enhanced, taking into account customers’ needs as the change from valuing assets to emphasizing lifestyles accelerates.
* Some stores will open on dates other than September 25.

- Japan’s largest outlet mall in terms of number of stores and store floor space, boasting 302 stores, including 100 new stores and 47 moved or refurbished stores, and store floor space of 491,910.7 ft2 (approx. 45,700 m2)
- Revamped facility design with an eye to improving comfort for all customers and will provide enhanced on-site services
- Strengthened the sense of unity with the entire Nagashima Resort as a residential-style outlet mall
