Tokyo, Japan, September 12, 2017 - Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., a leading global real estate company headquartered in Tokyo, announced its decision to open the logistics ICT showroom MFLP ICT LABO, as mentioned in a press release in March 2017, in Mitsui Fudosan Logistics Park Funabashi I, which the Company developed and operates, on September 13, 2017. In the logistics industry, which faces an issue with human resource shortages, labor saving and automation needs are growing. The Company is responding by being the first in the industry to open a facility such as this LABO.

In addition to the AutoStore system sold by Okamura Corporation, which will be showcased in the first round of exhibited products, the LABO will also display 16 types of ICT-related equipment, introducing them to tenants and prospective tenants of the Company’s facility. Visitors will be able to try operating the equipment inside the LABO so they can experience the effects for themselves.
Also, the Company will provide tenants and prospective tenants of the Company’s facility with support for purchasing the products in cooperation with the respective manufacturers. For those who do not want to purchase equipment, the Company will provide a scheme for leasing the logistics facility together with ICT-related equipment in coordination with leasing companies and so forth.
With the opening of the LABO, the Company will provide customers with the option to use new consulting services, such as a service for identifying issues with their existing logistics facilities and a simulation of productivity enhancement by introducing ICT equipment.
