Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. and, Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management Co., Ltd. are pleased to announce that construction has begun on the Higashi-Gotanda 2-Chome Hotel Project (tentative name) located at 2-1,Higashi- Gotanda 2-chome, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.
This project will involve the Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. building a hotel on a site owned by the OSAKI ELECTRIC CO., LTD. Following completion of construction, Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management Co., Ltd. will operate it as a Mitsui Garden Hotel. The opening of the hotel is scheduled for the summer of 2018.
The hotel site is easily accessed, being five minutes on foot from Gotanda Station on JR Yamanote Line, Toei Asakusa Line, and the Tokyu Ikegami Line. Redevelopment is advancing in the surrounding areas of Shinagawa and Osaki and the area can expect an increase in visitors.
The Mitsui Garden Hotel chain currently operates 20 hotels across Japan with 5,337 rooms. This hotel will be the seventh Mitsui Garden Hotel in Tokyo, following on from the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyobashi (233 rooms), which opened in Tokyo in September 2016.
Going forward, the Mitsui Fudosan Group will actively engage in new developments in major urban areas and main regional cities. The Group will strive to provide services overflowing with hospitality while aiming to realize “hotels that satisfy the senses” and “hotels to remember” as an upper-grade accommodation-style hotel.
