Tokyo, Japan, January 22, 2019 - Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., a leading global real estate company headquartered in Tokyo, Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management Co., Ltd. and Tsuchikin Corporation announced today that construction started on January 16 for the Suidobashi Station Hotel Project (tentative name) located in Kanda-Misakicho 2-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

The project will involve building a hotel with 120 guestrooms (planned) on a site owned by Tsuchikin. After its completion, the Mitsui Fudosan Group will lease the hotel with Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management carrying out its operation. The hotel is expected to open for business in fall 2020.

The project site is located in an area with convenient access to public transportation, approximately one minute on foot from Suidobashi Station on the JR Chuo/Sobu Line Local Service and approximately five minutes on foot from the separate entrance for the Toei Subway Mita Line. The site is also in the vicinity of facilities such as Tokyo Dome, Korakuen Hall, and Nippon Budokan, offering excellent access to tourist areas, leisure spots, and metropolitan business centers.

Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management currently operates 6,703 rooms in 26 facilities throughout Japan under Mitsui Garden Hotels, its upper middle-class lodging-focused hotel brand, and THE CELESTINE HOTELS, its high-class lodging-focused hotel brand. Going forward, the Mitsui Fudosan Group will actively engage in new developments in the Tokyo metropolitan area and main regional cities throughout Japan.
