Tokyo, Japan, October 7, 2019 - Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., a leading global real estate company headquartered in Tokyo, and Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management Co., Ltd. announced today that they have decided to formally name the Sapporo (N5W6) Hotel Project that began construction in May last year as Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo West and the hotel will open for business on February 20, 2020 (Thursday).
Reservations for the hotel will be available from today, October 7, 2019.

The hotel is four minutes on foot from JR Sapporo Station’s south exit in a location accessible to tourism spots such as the Former Hokkaido Government Building nicknamed the Red Brick Office, and Akarenga Terrace, which houses a number of famous shops.
Sapporo is a popular city and Hokkaido tourism destination for visitors not only from within Japan, but also those inbound from other countries. Along with the adjacent Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo (opened June 2010, 247 rooms) in the east, Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo West will serve accommodation needs for a variety of visitors from inside and outside Japan.

1. Facility Features

The exterior uses tiles modeled after Hokkaido’s featured brick designs, with a warm and calming entrance to welcome guests.
The first-floor lobby is a metropolitan monotone space with designs that take cues from Hokkaido’s traditions and culture, raising the anticipation of visitors who are heading off on their journey. The second floor, which is connected by stairs to an atrium from the lobby, has a restaurant that offers a buffet-style breakfast with regularly-used ingredients produced in Hokkaido. The restaurant operates as a café for lunch and dinner, which visitors who are not staying at the hotel can also enjoy. In addition, the second floor also has a large public bath for guests to soak away weariness from traveling. On the guest room floor, many of the rooms allow accommodation for up to three people so that families and groups can also enjoy passing the time together.

Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management currently operates a total of 7,475 rooms in 29 facilities across the country, including 26 facilities under Mitsui Garden Hotel, its upper middle-class lodging-focused hotel brand, and 3 facilities under THE CELESTINE HOTELS, its high-class lodging-focused hotel brand.
This hotel will be the 29th facility operated as a Mitsui Garden Hotel, following on from Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingugaien Tokyo Premier (expected to open on November 22, 2019, 362 rooms) and Mitsui Garden Hotel Roppongi Tokyo Premier (expected to open on January 24, 2020, 257 rooms).
This will be the second Mitsui Garden Hotel operating within Hokkaido, following on from Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo. Going forward, the Mitsui Fudosan Group will actively engage in new developments in major urban areas and main regional cities.
