Tokyo, Japan, November 24, 2021 - Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., a leading global real estate company headquartered in Tokyo, announced today that it will hold NIHONBASHI SPACE WEEK 2021, Asia’s largest aerospace business event, in the Nihonbashi area from Tuesday, December 14 to Friday, December 17, 2021.

Overview of this Event

  • Mitsui Fudosan will hold NIHONBASHI SPACE WEEK 2021, Asia’s largest aerospace business event, in Nihonbashi, where aerospace-related companies and startups are continuing to gather. This multifaceted business event, in collaboration with multiple events as a week steeped in aerospace business, will be held for the first time in Nihonbashi.
  • NIHONBASHI SPACE WEEK 2021 will feature events in which companies and organizations on the forefront of aerospace business, particularly startups, come together. These events will include: TOKYO SPACE BUSINESS EXHIBITION 2021, an aerospace business exhibition; Innovators Under 35 Japan 2021, a global award show to discover and recognize young innovators; and S-Booster 2021, a contest for business ideas harnessing aerospace hosted by the Cabinet Office.
  • SPACETIDE 2021 Winter in Nihonbashi, which has expanded into Asia’s largest aerospace business conference, will also be held in the Nihonbashi area during the same period. In collaboration with the main event, this conference will use aerospace to energize Nihonbashi in winter.

Movement surrounding aerospace business has accelerated around the world, including the continued successes of rocket launches and manned spacecraft by private companies, and aerospace is gaining attention as a new business field. Many players, such as startups and academic bodies, have opened bases in the Nihonbashi area. The aerospace business is becoming active as diverse projects related to aerospace, including activities to promote the creation of new industry in the aerospace field, are being promoted on a daily basis in collaboration with JAXA.

Through NIHONBASHI SPACE WEEK 2021, which will be held as part of X-NIHONBASHI, a project for business expansion in aerospace-related fields undertaken by Mitsui Fudosan in the Nihonbashi neighborhood, and SPACETIDE 2021 Winter in Nihonbashi, Asia’s largest aerospace conference and a collaborative event, Mitsui Fudosan will provide opportunities to experience the forefront of aerospace business, which has seen a rapid upsurge in recent years.

Mitsui Fudosan will continue contributing to business expansion in aerospace-related fields in the Nihonbashi neighborhood through the X-NIHONBASHI project.
