Tokyo, Japan, October 3, 2025 - Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., a leading global real estate company headquartered in Tokyo, and Keikyu Corporation announced today that they have signed an agreement to jointly consider a development plan for a new resort hotel project in the Aburatsubo area of Miura City, Kanagawa Prefecture, with the aim of creating a new resort destination that further enhances the appeal of the Miura Peninsula.
Until 2021, Keikyu Corporation operated the Keikyu Aburatsubo Marine Park in the Aburatsubo area. Since its opening in 1968, the facility had long been loved by the local community and created many cherished memories. The Aburatsubo area, where the former site is located, boasts a one-of-a-kind location with sweeping views of Sagami Bay, Mt. Fuji, and beautiful sunsets, making it a special place that symbolizes the natural appeal of the Miura Peninsula.
Through this agreement, the two companies will seek to maximize the value of this unique location to create a new resort destination that further elevates the appeal of the Miura Peninsula. By combining Keikyu Corporation’s expertise gained through its community-based area management activities with Mitsui Fudosan’s track record in hotel and resort development both in Japan and overseas, the companies aim to create a resort hotel that will be cherished by local residents as well as visitors.
Going forward, the companies will work on formulating specific development plans while also promoting sustainable development in collaboration with the local community.
