Mitsui Fudosan Group to Operate Four Hotels with Over 1,000 Guestrooms in the Ginza Area

Tokyo, Japan, March 6, 2019 - Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., a leading global real estate company headquartered in Tokyo, and Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management Co., Ltd. announced today that Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza-gochome (201-6, Ginza 5-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will open for business on September 26, 2019. Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza-gochome will begin accepting reservations from today, March 6, 2019.

The hotel is four minutes on foot from Ginza Station on the Tokyo Metro subway line, one minute on foot from Higashi Ginza Station on the Tokyo Metro and Toei subway lines, and close to Ginza’s Chuo-dori avenue, making it a highly convenient base for sightseeing and leisure. With the aim of creating a facility where guests from inside and outside Japan can spend their time in comfort, designs evoking Japan’s traditional resplendence and brilliance have been incorporated in communal spaces such as the lobby and lounge, as well as the guestrooms.

Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management currently operates a total of 26 facilities and 6,703 rooms across the country, with 6,199 rooms in 23 facilities under Mitsui Garden Hotels, its upper middle-class lodging-focused hotel brand, and 504 rooms in 3 facilities under THE CELESTINE HOTELS, its high-class lodging-focused hotel brand.
This hotel’s opening will follow planned openings for Mitsui Garden Hotel Fukuoka Gion (300 rooms) on June 27, 2019 and Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Station (136 rooms) on August 29, 2019.
The hotel will also be the fourth operated by the Mitsui Fudosan Group in the Ginza area*, following Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier (361 rooms), Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel Tokyo (329 rooms), and HOTEL THE CELESTINE GINZA (104 rooms), for a total of 1,132 rooms. The Group will continue to actively pursue new development focusing on the metropolitan area and major cities throughout Japan going forward.
*Referring to the area within Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

As the hotel is four minutes on foot from Ginza Station on the Tokyo Metro subway line and one minute on foot from Higashi Ginza Station on the Tokyo Metro and Toei subway lines with no need to change trains between Haneda and Narita Airports and Higashi Ginza Station, it offers excellent transportation access and can be used as a comfortable base for sightseeing, leisure, and business activities.
The hotel is also situated near Ginza’s Chuo-dori avenue and within walking distance of the Kabuki-za and Shinbashi Enbujo theaters and Tsukiji Market, making it a very convenient location, especially for guests who are staying for sightseeing and leisure.

2. Facility Features

The hotel is designed to evoke the resplendence and brilliance of Ginza amidst a calm atmosphere. The lobby, lounge, and guestrooms will also be decorated with modern art arrangements of traditional crafts and culture, resonant with the sophistication of Edo in a way that can be felt everywhere in the hotel.
Mitsui Fudosan seeks to create a facility where guests can relax and refresh after a tiring day, with a large public bath on the second floor that has mosaic art on the walls and a fitness gym popular with overseas guests. The restaurant on the second floor also offers traditional Japanese and Western set meals for breakfast, with lunch and dinner menus available even for those who are not staying at the hotel.
