The building is located on Namiki-dori at 5 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. Its architectural design and supervision were handled by Satoshi Hirano Planning Studio, while construction was performed by Tsuboi Corporation. With eight aboveground floors, it features a simple yet sophisticated exterior based on Japanese aesthetics, incorporating decorative kumiko-inspired elements into the exterior walls of the first to fourth floors.

Mitsui Fudosan was commissioned by Abe Yoseido Co., Ltd., the building owner and project operator, to serve as development manager, overseeing the formulation of the development plan, design and construction management, and tenant leasing. Following completion, Mitsui Fudosan will also be responsible for master leasing to tenants.

Fifth to Eighth Floors: Yoseido Gallery

A rental gallery will open on the fifth floor as a venue for presenting artistic and cultural activities. Exhibitions and sales of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, photography, calligraphy, and crafts will be held, with the artists changing periodically.

The sixth floor will serve as a permanent gallery featuring a wide range of works, primarily contemporary Japanese prints, by artists ranging from deceased and established artists to emerging artists. The floor will offer a diverse selection of works, including woodblock prints, copperplate prints, lithographs, silkscreen prints, three-dimensional works (wood and stone sculptures), and drawings.

The seventh floor will host solo and group exhibitions, focusing primarily on new works by artists selected by the gallery.

Backed by the development of more than 1,400 calibers and numerous patents, its technological expertise has earned it the title of “Watchmaker of Watchmakers.”

The new flagship boutique will offer guests an opportunity to experience the world of Jaeger-LeCoultre more deeply through a spatial design that embodies the brand’s craftsmanship and creativity. A wide range of timepieces will be showcased, from collections that symbolize the Maison to exceptional high-complication pieces. ■ Sustainability in the Mitsui Fudosan Group

Based on the meaning of its “& mark,” “to generate new value with society through cooperation, coexistence and co-creation, we forge ahead, innovating,” the Mitsui Fudosan Group views the “creation of social value” and the “creation of economic value” as two wheels of a cart. Accordingly, we believe that the creation of social value leads to the creation of economic value, and that this economic value then creates even greater social value.

Moreover, we identified six Group Materiality priority issues when formulating our new management philosophy in April 2024. These Group Materiality priority issues are (1) Contribute to industrial competitiveness, (2) Coexist with the environment, (3) Health and Vitality, (4) Safety and security, (5) Diversity and inclusion, and (6) Compliance and governance. The Mitsui Fudosan Group will work to address each of the materialities through its core business activities and contribute to the promotion of sustainability.
